- Generating Request for Information (RFI) queries for pre-modeling and submitting them to the Team Leader before commencing the modeling process.
- Submitting post-modeling RFI queries before sending the model for review.
- Adhering strictly to modeling standards and protocols.
- Ensuring steel modeling meets the critical requirements for erection, fabrication, and shipping.
- Providing an estimated time frame to the Team Leader when starting a modeling task.
- Thoroughly verifying all connections and member placements against the contract documents for the assigned task before submitting for review.
- Addressing all comments received from the checker or client, and in case of disagreements, conveying them to the Team Leader or Checker.
- Setting prefixes for various members and numbering within the model.
- Extracting drawings as per samples to streamline the detailing process.
- Finalizing all settings related to numbering for Initial For Approval (IFA), Initial For Fabrication (IFF), and revised submittals.
- Keeping track of numbering and submitted areas within the model.
- Assisting in creating schedules
What is our requirement
**Immediate Joiner would be preferred
Educational Qualification:
Successful completion of a full-time program in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, including B.E., Diploma, or I.T.I.
Work Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of modeling experience is required in the following areas:
- (a)Structural steel modeling with complex connections
- (b)Modeling miscellaneous steel components such as stairs, railings, and ladders
- (c)Extracting drawings in compliance with client requirements
- (d)Numbering and assigning designations
Software Proficiency / Expertise Required:
- Proficiency in TEKLA / SDS2 software and advanced editing tools.
- Proficient in using Bluebeam software
- Experience in modeling structural and miscellaneous steel based on contract drawings
- Sound knowledge of structural steel detailing standards, including AISC, NISD, IBC, CISC, and OSHA guidelines
- Familiarity with TEKLA / SDS2 API, C++, .Net, and advanced tool development (if applicable)
